Flamenco in Granada with restaurant | Jardines de Zoraya

Jardines de Zoraya is offering you the opportunity to enjoy an unforgettable flamenco show in Granada in an authentic tablao. It is perfectly located in the heart of the mythical Albaicín neighbourhood which is one of the most magical areas of the city. The Alhambra is only 1.5 km away, whilst the Mirador de San Nicolás, from where it is possible to enjoy the best sunsets in Granada, is only a few metres from the restaurant. For this reason many visitors decide to book dinner here after doing a tour of the Alhambra.

The Albaicín is one of the most emblematic neighbourhoods of the capital and is a must-see for all those who visit the city even if it is just for a short time. It houses an intricate labyrinth of narrow cobbled streets and white houses that still retain the taste of its Arabic heritage.

It is here that you will find the Jardines de Zoraya, where exciting flamenco shows are offered every night. A world apart, you can immerse yourself and feel the passion as prestigious singers and dancers perform an art form that is rooted in Sephardic and Moorish cultures. It is not a surprise that it is considered to be one of the best flamenco tablaos in Granada.

Where is the Jardines de Zoraya?

Jardines de Zoraya can be found at 32, Calle Panaderos. If you take the C31 or C32 bus and get off at the Placeta del Abad stop, you can then walk the 150 metres to the restaurant.

You also have the option to come by tourist train which passes by the most important tourist attractions in Granada, such as the Alhambra, the Cathedral and the Albaicín. Whether you take the Green Route (daytime) or the Red Route (night-time), the stop you will need is number 5, the Mirador de San Nicolás. This will give you the opportunity to stay a few minutes and enjoy the views of the Alhambra, which is especially beautiful at sunset, before going to the restaurant.

If you would prefer to travel by car,  the car park at San Cristóbal has ample parking spaces and is only 8 minutes away by foot.

An intimate and atmospheric place with Andalusian charm

The Jardines de Zoraya is located in a charming Carmen ( a typical Granadian style house). It is the kind of construction that is quite common in the Realejo and Albaicín neighbourhoods. As it is able to create the intimacy and atmosphere that is required to be fully immersed in the feeling of each performance, there is no better place to enjoy flamenco.

In addition, the restaurant has a spacious terrace for couples to enjoy romantic evenings, especially in spring and summer. With the delightful scent of the orange and lemon trees and aromatic plants that surround the garden, it is the ideal location for dinner. And whilst dining, you can listen to the sound of water emanating from the beautiful Nasrid fountain located in the central area of the terrace. All this under the imposing shadow of the old great mosque, where today the church of San Salvador is located. For romance there is no better place!

One of the best flamenco shows in Granada

Jardines de Zoraya provides powerful performances of the highest quality and even those who may not be too sure of this style of music are certain to enjoy it. The shows last about an hour and are made up of several performances of five or six artists, including such personalities as Raquel Heredia, Esther Martín, Juan José Villar, Luis de Luis and Sergio Aranda. No wonder it is considered to be one of the best flamenco shows in Granada.

As you watch prestigious artists dancing and performing, it is a magnificent opportunity to enjoy flamenco in all its splendour. You will vibrate with emotion when hearing the sound of heels and guitar strings, fully immersing yourself in the emotion and passion of the genre. It is a place far removed from the stereotypical tourist shows and always has the best artists performing so that you can enjoy this art form in all its magnificence. This makes it quite possibly the most authentic tablao that can be found in Granada.

There are two shows every night at different times which can be combined with dinner in the restaurant when you buy your ticket. Alternatively, if you are only interested in watching the performance, you can buy a ticket without dinner. Drinks and tapas are also available before and during the show if you wish.

Seats are assigned in the same order in which the tickets are purchased. Therefore, it is advisable to reserve them as far in advance as possible, so that you can have the best view. However, if you buy your tickets on the same day or you arrive a little late, there is no need to worry as the high tables also provide a very good view.

What is the Jardines de Zoraya menu like?

If you want to enjoy the most complete flamenco experience in Granada as possible, we recommend that you choose the show with dinner. The menu consists of three courses and is served on the terrace or in a lounge decorated in Andalusian style. Once you arrive, the waiters will give you a choice of different options. To prevent the waiters from distracting and disturbing you during the performance, the show begins once the meal has been served.

The menu at Jardines de Zoraya stands out for its originality, carefully prepared dishes and the use of perfectly selected ingredients. The menu offers a variety of traditional cuisine including both local and modern dishes with meat being a speciality. There are also options for vegans and vegetarians with a variety of mouth-watering options that are full of flavour.
