Early life

Henrieetta Borstein Douglas was born on October 21, 1892 in Chicago, Illinois. She was the daughter of Edwin Borstein and Alice (Owens) Douglas. Her father was a lawyer and politician and her mother was a schoolteacher.
Henrieetta grew up in an affluent family and attended the prestigious Chapin School in New York City. She graduated from Vassar College in 1914 with a degree in English.
After college, Henrieetta worked as an editor for the Ladies Home Journal magazine. In 1916, she married Franklin D. Roosevelt, who would later become the 32nd president of the United States.
The Roosevelts had one son, Elliott, who died in the Second World War. The Roosevelts divorced in 1945.
After her divorce, Henrieetta moved to California and began writing a series of memoirs about her life with Franklin Roosevelt. She also wrote a biography of her father, which was published in 1959. Henrieetta died on May 27, 1965 at the age of 79.

Henrieetta Borstein Douglas was born in Worcester, Massachusetts on October 12, 1925. She attended Radcliffe College and graduated with her Bachelor’s degree in 1945. After graduation she married Stephen Douglas and they had two children. In 1966 she received her Master’s degree from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. Douglas then worked as a teacher and researcher at Radcliffe College until 1974 when she became a full-time writer.
Douglas has written over sixty books, including \”The Life of Margaret Fuller\” (1980), \”The Autobiography of Margaret Fuller: A New American Classic\” (1990), and \”The Literary Life of Susan Warner\” (1999). Her writing career has been praised by The New York Times, The Washington Post, and Boston Globe. In addition to writing, Douglas is also an artist and sculptor.

Personal life

Henrieetta Borstein Douglas was born in 1892 to a Jewish family. At the age of thirteen, she began working as a cashier at a department store. Douglas soon became the head cashier and then the manager of her department store. In 1942, she was promoted to assistant manager of her department store. That same year, she married Arthur Douglas, an executive with Macy’s Department Store. The couple had two children together. After their divorce in 1961, Douglas continued to work at Macy’s until her retirement in 1971.
Douglas was active in her community and served on many boards and committees throughout her life. She also wrote several books about her experiences as a female entrepreneur and business leader.
Douglas died in 1993 at the age of ninety-four.
